Despite his chronic cold condition the “Lange Lila-Lulatsch” goes on an exciting adventure to where the sun and the moon shine, forest trees rustle and rivers flow, where clouds pass through the sky and mills pound. To a place where children play and Oma sits on a swing with Opa whilst Papa gifts Mama flowers. On the road the “Lange Lila-Lulatsch” encounters fat people and thin people, poor ones and rich ones, old and young people, who are all different but who all have one thing in common: to be good to one another. They hug and kiss, wonder and ponder together, laugh, cry and walk, cook and eat with each other. They wish wishes.- only the best of wishes, naturally. And on top of all of that they share everything because sharing is the greatest fun.
The audience is invited to engage with the key themes of friendship, openness, sensitivity, tolerance and trust through poetry, melody and harmony, all brought to life by composer, actor and director Johannes Schlecht playing “Piano Piani”.
Joining the fun and frivolity are world renowned artists such as The pianist Stefan Kling, Stanley Blume and Dieter Gasde with saxophone, flute, drums, bells and strong voices, Sophia with her violin and funny pigtails, hikers, cyclists, grand chefs etc.
A musical program that captures the senses, loosens the limps and stirs the soul.

Medical Syncopator Jazzband
A few years ago the genesis of the Medical Syncopator Jazzband was proposed during a birthday celebration at the home of Johannes Schlecht (Old Time Memory Jazzband, CIRCUS LILA). As the name suggests the band is comprised of an unlikely cohort of doctors all being good friends of Johannes and his family.

The idea soon became reality. More members from the Eisenach medical profession were added to the band. The diversity of medical specializations(specialties) (general practitioners, internal specialists, gynecologists, pediatricians and eye doctors) created harmony from the start and the high standards demanded by the only non medical member and bandleader Johannes Schlecht ensured a surgical like precision carrying over into a pleasing and unique sound on stage.
The band brought to life an interesting song repertoire containing well known titles from New Orleans Jazz, whilst never losing classic jazz elements during their performances.
Performances that go far beyond covers and move into the realm of reimagined classics.
The first official concert/gig was at the Eisenach doctor prom in 2003. It was well received by the audience and the band has performed at the yearly festivities ever since.
Smaller gigs and larger gigs came along in cities such as Weimar, Erfurt, Friedrichroda and Eisenach, of course.
Since the band was found it has undertaken changes in members and expanded, even allowing more than one non medical member. Currently, the band is comprised of 11 musicians, 7 being headed wind instruments (trumpet/horn/saxophone/3 trombone/sousaphone) and all creating a sophisticated and high quality performance. It is a richness in diversity, characterized in no small part by wind instrument sets that have been composed down to a tee.
All of this comes to life under the guidance and curation of bandleader and pianist Johannes Schlecht.
